Highlights Spotlight: POPSUGAR’s Kelly Schwarze
POPSUGAR is an amazing resource for the latest trends in lifestyle, pop culture, tech, fitness, and so much more. And they’ve just upped the ante: not only have they rolled their whole family of feeds under the shiny new POPSUGAR umbrella, they’ve also launched POPSUGAR LIVE, a fun and fabulous daily show.
You’d think a publisher that truly does it all wouldn’t have time to catch up on reading, but the POPSUGAR team is full of content superheroes. We spoke to Technology Editor Kelly Schwarze to learn about the stories she’s Highlighting this week!
What sort of stories do you like to Highlight?
I love browsing through the latest images from photo sharing website 500px, since Pulse’s tiled view is a beautiful way to see the community’s most recent stunning uploads. As for stories, if it’s not updates on innovative technology designs like the gaming consoles to come out of KickStarter, I’m also Highlighting stories to feed my pop culture and entertainment interests, which, most recently, is anything about the Netflix show, House of Cards.
What have you Highlighted this week?
Fully charged iPads ready and waiting in an airplane’s seat back pocket? If this is the future of airline travel, I’m first in line for a ticket!
The asteroid that nearly missed Earth on Friday was well documented and discussed in the days leading up to its travel past our planet, but no one was expecting the one that actually did land in Russia on the same day. Highlight this to share with those wondering how this meteor wasn’t seen ahead of time.
In the dead of Winter, a salad sounds anything but comforting. I highlighted this recipe as inspiration to actually make the flavor-rich dish instead of ordering out.
Extreme temperatures are not ideal gadget weather. Highlighted for snow bunny friends, so that they know not to keep phones in the car while hitting the slopes.
