Redesigned Catalog and Smart Dock Arrives on Android

Following our iPad and iPhone release this week, today we released an update for Android featuring our redesigned catalog and Smart Dock. Download the update and explore what’s new with Pulse, just in time for the holidays!

Completely Redesigned Catalog

As we continue to add top publishers to our platform, we wanted to highlight these partners across different categories and make it easy for you to find them. Our new catalog features cover flow, allowing you to browse your favorite category by swiping left and right. You can also tap to learn more about the source and, adding it is as easy as pressing the ‘+’ button.

In this design, we have also introduced an omnipresent “Search” button - which makes it super easy to search for anything that’s on your mind. You can search for a source by name or search for a general topic you’re interested in to find some fantastic sources.

Introducing Smart Dock

We are very excited to introduce a new feature called Smart Dock, which learns from your reading patterns and recommends other sources that you may enjoy reading. The more you read, the smarter the dock gets. It’s as easy as that - no login or setup required. On any page, just scroll all the way down - you might just discover that nostalgic photo blog, your favorite social site or perhaps entrepreneurship content to help you launch your own business.

Pro tip: The dock adapts to your own personal content in each page, so recommendations are relevant to the page you’re on.

Simpler, Cleaner Interface

Special care has been taken in this release to simplify the interface and let the content shine. We’re aiming to make the reading view as clean as possible, letting the content take center stage. Click on a story to discover a much cleaner page - making it even easier to catch up on all your favorite content in minutes.
